Learning iPhone Photography can be more than a satisfying hobby.

• Even capture lightning ( yep, for real – not my best shot, but my most recent)

But knowing how to take a good photo and upload it immediately can also be priceless for your personal and professional Social Media presence…

• Run a restaurant and have visiting celebrities? Don’t screw that shot up! Eek!
• Carpenter who has just laid some perfect decking? Know how to share that to your Business Page.
• In Villa rentals and the sun set is perfect behind the property you’re visiting – inspire people by sharing it right now!

I’ve had the greatest pleasure of teaching three iPhone Courses to date but the iPhone Photography world doesn’t stand still – it gets better! 🙂

Therein, I’ve carefully put together a 5 day Intensive iPhone Photography Course for complete beginners (and if you’re a foodie like me, you’ll be pleased to know I’ve also secured the services of a private chef who will be providing lunch each day, incl. in the price!)

I’ve even been careful to schedule the day around Ibiza school hours, so for once parents can attend, without having to worry about baby-sitters 😀

iPhone Photography Course Content

Day One

• Introduction to your iPhone camera and built-in edit functions
• Image composition. You can see the beauty, now here’s how to photograph it!
• How to add a watermark to your image
• You will learn the first two of my Top Two Essential Apps for iPhone Photography and I promise you, if you’ve never seen this app before, you’ll be amazed at what you can do!
• Focus on landscape and portrait photography (and the important differences)

The day will start at 0945 and finish at 1345 (4hrs) – lunch incl.

Day Two

• After a brief re-cap of yesterday’s lessons, we’ll learn about focus and exposure and what a HUGE difference this can make to your images – and how wonderfully easy it is!
• How to edit an image like a Pro’. Indeed by the end of the Course, your friends won’t believe you ‘just’ use an iPhone!
• How to add text to your image (great for personalised ‘Happy Birthday’ messages etc on Facebook)
• How to master food photography.

The day will start at 0945 and finish at 1345 (4hrs) – lunch incl.

Day Three.

• Today you’ll learn about HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography as well as
• The principles, beauty and differences of photographing in Black and White
• The principles of street photography

The day will start at 0945 and finish at 1345 (4hrs) – lunch incl.

Day Four.

• Today we’ll learn Night and Low Light photography. (Added bonus, ‘noise reduction’)
• We’ll also move into the realms of Special Effects, incl:
• selective blurring
• Turning images into art
• BONUS: how to photograph lightning / action photography

The day will start at 0945 and finish at 1345 (4hrs) – lunch incl.

Day Five.

• Special Effects Day II incl:
• How to remove objects in an image
• How to move objects in an image
• Correcting perspective (essential if you ever photograph buildings!)
• Places where you can sell your images

The day will start at 0945 and finish at 1345 (4hrs) – lunch incl.

Course notes will also be provided – saves you doing any note taking and we can get on with the fun!

By course completion you will understand: –

• Composition
• Focus and exposure
• The principles and application of portrait photography
• The principles and application of landscape photography
• The principles and application of food photography
• The principles and application of action photography
• The principles and application of street photography
• The principles and application of night / low light photography
• The principles and application of black and white photography

I did mention it was intensive, yes? But fun! 😀

I don’t think I’ve run a course where people haven’t ended up in tears of laughter. Seriously. 😀

Special Notes: –

1. Please note that due to time of year, the weather can be chilly but we’ll be living the life of photographers and spending a good amount of time outside. Please bring all-weather kit and a sense of humour 😉
2. Whilst all training, course notes and lunch (excl. drinks – great wine selection though 😀 ) are included in course price, the apps will need to be purchased by yourself.There will be 12-15 apps (depending on any updates via the App Store) and this cost should be no more that €15-25
3. You will need either an iPhone 4S / 5 / 5c or 5S or iPhone 6 for the course and be using at least iOS 7.If you’re unsure, please feel free to contact me prior to booking the course and I’ll be happy to make sure you have the right device and operating system. If you have the headphone cable, please also bring that with you!

Previously, I’ve held the iPhone Photography Courses at the lovely Hidden Bar in Cala San Vicente but mindful that this time parents will be looking to get to schools to pick up their children, I’ve changed venue to a gorgeous little Agroturismo in Morna Valley (between Atzaro and San Carlos) The venue has just come under new management, as of yesterday!, and the website will be updated somewhat but details are here – Agroturismo Morna.

Chef:

The chef looking after us is Simon Cook of Pikes Hotel and Sunday Service fame. He will be providing tea, coffee and fresh made cakes to start our morning and then a two course menu for an early lunch. Vegetarians are catered for – please advise at time of booking if you require this option. Lunch is incl. in course price (excl. drinks)
